We have three chicks. They hatched on May 29th,2020. The dates are according to whenever they can eat on their own.
Quaker Parrots are usually friendly and funny birds. They are hardy, they do well with active families. Quakers can become noisy, especially when agitated or scared. Quakers live over 15 years, so make sure you will have time for this pet. Pet birds have long life spans and often outlive their owners.
Longer life span, and quality of life is important as well. Proper hand training will guarantee those years are “happy” years for both the bird and owner. A trained bird is a companion. But an untrained parrot is a little more difficult to handle, and will spend more time in the cage.
Our handfed fed Quakers will be tame. Funny and friendly. You will enjoy their company for years. Our Monk Parakeets will be ready this fall. Join our email list to receive updates. We’re making reservations with a 150.00 deposit.
Birds (any pet bird) need about 1 hour a day of being out the cage and bonding with their owner. This cuts down on all sorts of problems. A bird without activities, a loving owner, and toys can become frustrated and lonely.
When they’re lonely and bored, they become fussy, destructive and noisy. That’s why we hand train them before they go. This way the birds are enjoyable babies, running around mimicking sounds.
My quakers haven’t said much. But, they sit back and laugh( just like me ) all the time. And, I have caught them calling “Willie” ( my sweetheart) when they think no one is home. Lol it’s absolutely adorable.
We also have bird cages for sale at our store.
